How it Works

To simplify the specification process, customers can complete a guided selection form that pairs each design option with visual examples, making it easy to compare finishes, panel styles, ceilings, handrails, and cab front enhancements in one place.

Step 1: Select Your Cab Wall Panel Design

Choose the wall panel configuration that best complements your building's aesthetic and performance requirements. Select from a variety of panel segmentation layouts and reveal options, including 1/4" reveals, open reveals, and decorative inlay trim profiles with binders available in multiple patterns, finishes, and colors.

Our flexible design system allows you to create anything from a clean, modern appearance to a more detailed architectural statement.

Step 2: Select Ceiling, Lighting and Handrail Styles

Customize your cab environment with a ceiling design that enhances both lighting and visual appeal. Choose from ceiling frame or island-style ceiling configurations featuring LED downlights, perimeter LED indirect lighting, or a combination of both.

Complete the design by selecting from a variety of handrail profiles, mounting styles, and finishes to coordinate seamlessly with your chosen wall panels and overall interior design concept.

Step 3: Material Selection

Select materials direct from Wilsonart or Formica, or from EID's extensive library of architectural finishes. An EID Design Associate can assist with this.

The cab front includes the door panels, push button station, transom, and return panels. Standard elevator finishes are typically limited to satin stainless steel or bronze, often creating a mismatch between the cab interior and the front wall.

At EID, we extend architectural finishes to the cab front for a fully integrated design. This includes custom door panel facings, swing and stationary return panels, and coordinated material selections to match or complement the cab interior.

Finishes are available in a range of etched, textured, oxidized, blackened, and mirrored metals, as well as laminates—allowing the elevator cab to maintain a cohesive architectural expression from wall to front panel. Why settle for anything less?
