About EID
History
Elevator Interior Design (EID) emerged as a pioneering force in elevator cab manufacturing when founder John Antonellis established the company in 1998. Beginning in a modest 6,000-square-foot facility in Chelsea, Massachusetts, Mr. Antonellis, a distinguished designer-engineer, laid the foundation for what would become an industry-leading enterprise.
The company's philosophy rests upon three fundamental principles that continue to guide its operations: superior material selection, innovative design, and uncompromising quality standards. These core values have propelled EID's remarkable expansion from its initial team of eight skilled professionals to its current roster of over forty specialized engineers and master craftsmen.
Today, EID operates from its expansive 30,000-square-foot headquarters and manufacturing facility in Lynn, Massachusetts. The company's state-of-the-art equipment and advanced manufacturing processes reflect its ongoing dedication to technological advancement. While maintaining its position as a premier provider of elevator interior solutions for both national and international markets, EID remains at the forefront of industry developments, contemporary design trends, and manufacturing innovations.
We invite you to explore how Elevator Interior Design's heritage of excellence can enhance your next project.
Meet the Team
Ralph Rizzo
Principal, President / CEO
From project manager to co-owner, Ralph Rizzo's journey in construction and design spans more than three decades. After cutting his teeth at US Exteriors—where he led a team of over 50 union workers in commercial construction—Ralph found his home at Elevator Interior Design in 2016. Seven years later, he stepped into co-ownership, bringing his wealth of hands-on experience to the company's leadership.
Throughout his career, Ralph has tackled it all: commercial buildings, industrial complexes, municipal projects, residential developments, and medical facilities. He's worked with virtually every construction material and method you can think of. These days, he's the steady hand guiding all operations at Elevator Interior Design, from the earliest planning stages through to the final paperwork. His eye for detail ensures every project runs smoothly—from the first design meeting to the moment we hand over the keys.
Rachel Green
Principal / CFO / Controller
As a cornerstone of EID's financial leadership, Rachel Green brings deep-rooted New England values and extensive financial expertise to her role. Born and raised along the Essex County shoreline in Lynn, Massachusetts, Rachel's connection to the local community runs deep. After earning her accounting degree from Marian Court College, she built an impressive 18-year career as a financial controller, developing the comprehensive skillset that would later prove invaluable to EID's growth.
Since joining the company in 2016, Rachel has risen to become an integral part of EID's ownership structure. As a key decision-maker in the organization's financial strategy, she oversees all aspects of the company's fiscal operations. Beyond managing the day-to-day accounting functions, Rachel leads the accounts payable and receivable departments with an owner's perspective, ensuring that every financial decision aligns with EID's long-term vision and values.
Her hands-on leadership style and stake in the company's success have transformed the financial department into a proactive force within the organization. Rachel's dual role as both controller and co-owner allows her to bridge the gap between operational financial management and strategic business planning, contributing directly to EID's continued growth and stability.
John Antonellis
Lead Design & Sales Engineer
From his early days as a Boston native with degrees in Engineering and Design, John Antonellis saw an opportunity to transform the elevator industry. After working as an Engineer and Project Manager at Beckwith Elevator Company (now part of Otis Elevator), he recognized an untapped market need. In 1998, he founded Elevator Interior Design (EID) with a clear vision: to bring exceptional cab interiors to New England and beyond.
For over 35 years, John has shaped EID around three core principles: sourcing the finest materials, embracing innovative design, and maintaining uncompromising quality. What began as a regional operation has grown into a national presence, with EID now serving clients across the United States. Today, John continues to pioneer new design solutions, setting industry standards for elevator interior excellence.
Victoria Olivera
Design Engineer | Visual Strategist | Client-Centered Project Coordinator
I bring a dynamic blend of visual design, customer experience, and operational leadership to my role at Elevator Interior Design. With a BA in Economics from UMass Amherst and roots in Cambridge, I’ve spent the past decade at the intersection of luxury environments and client-driven service — skills that naturally complement the elevated aesthetic and precision-driven work we do at EID.
My early career focused on high-end retail and visual merchandising, where I developed an acute eye for materials, color balance, and spatial harmony — foundational principles I now apply at Elevator Interior Design. I later transitioned into operational leadership, managing the end-to-end buildout of a new retail space. From permitting and contractor scheduling to infrastructure planning and layout execution, I honed the ability to bring abstract design concepts into fully realized, functional environments.
More recently, in a consultative sales role within the automotive industry, I refined my approach to understanding clients’ needs and lifestyles — a practice that directly informs how I now collaborate with architects, designers, and developers to translate brand identity and user experience into visually compelling elevator interiors.
