History

Founded in ­1998 by designer-engineer John Antonellis, Elevator Interior Design began manufacturing elevator cab interior components in a 6,000 square foot manufacturing space in Chelsea, Massachusetts. Driven by three guiding principles, use the finest materials, employ innovative design, and an unwavering commitment to quality, EID maintained steady and rapid growth throughout the years. From a small 8-man shop in Chelsea, EID has grown to upwards of 40 engineers and craftsmen using state of the art manufacturing equipment. The current Elevator ID office headquarters and manufacturing facility is now over 30,000 sq feet and is located Lynn, Massachusetts. EID still strives to service the national and international markets, all while keeping it fingers on the pulse of the industry, design trends and manufacturing innovation. Meet the Team

Barbara Dunn

Principal, President / CEO

Barbara Dunn joined Elevator Interior Design in 2011 and became co-owner in 2015. Ms. Dunn is a successful entrepreneur and business owner and has spent 30 years in the commercial construction industry. Prior to joining Elevator Interior Design, Ms. Dunn provided advice and consultation to guide stabilization and profitable growth to medium and small size companies. Ms. Dunn’s strengths are in finance, strategic planning and managing operations, resources, relations and revenue.

John Antonellis

Principal, Chief Marketing & Sales Officer

John Antonellis founded Elevator Interior Design in 1998 and is currently co-owner. John is a Boston native and holds degree’s in Engineering and Design. Upon graduation, John worked as Engineer/Project Manager for Beckwith Elevator Company, now owned by Otis Elevator. Upon seeing an unfilled void in the market, John established EID to provide high quality cab and cab interiors fit outs to the New England and now US Market. With over 35 years’ experience and driven by three guiding principles, use the finest materials, employ innovative design, and an unwavering commitment to quality, John continues to develop state of the art products and design solutions for the industry.

Ralph Rizzo

Principal, Operations Director / Executive Project Manager

Ralph Rizzo joined Elevator Interior Design in 2016 and became co-owner in 2023. Ralph brings over 30 years of design and construction experience. Early in his career, Ralph served as project manager for US Exteriors overseeing 50+ union employees performing commercial construction. He has been involved in projects utilizing multiple types of construction materials and methods including applications for commercial, industrial, municipal, residential and medical buildings. Ralph oversees all operations with a senior view and concentration on project coordination and overall development of the entire project from pre-construction coordination to on-time delivery and closeout documentation.

Rob Glidden

Sales Engineer - Project Management

Robert Glidden joined EID’s sales team at the beginning of 2023. He majored in Marketing and Sports Management at Sacred Heart University where he graduated in 2021. Following graduation, Robert began his career in the Food and Beverage industry where he gained many of his sales, management, and interpersonal skills. Robert brought his skills to EID where he now works closely with Elevator Companies, Architects, General Contractors, and Property Managers to help meet their elevator cab needs.

Rachel Green

Controller

Rachel Green had been a long-time resident who grew up along up along the Essex County shoreline in Lynn, MA. She began her career early after becoming certified and educated in accounting from Marian Court College. Rachel quickly became a financial bookkeeper and gained 18 years’ experience prior to joining EID. Since 2016, Rachel is a financial controller overseeing daily accounting operations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable departments.

Marc Scannelli

Purchasing Manager

Marc Scannelli is a materials manager in charge of sourcing and purchasing essential materials for EID’s business operations. Marc has been with EID since 2018 and comes with experience from working in the construction industry. He researches raw materials suppliers, handles cost comparisons, negotiates purchase agreements, and supports inventory control to help identify demand for samples and new materials.
